Back to news
The Albanese Government has announced a $2.3 billion plan to make home batteries more affordable for Australian Households. Under the Cheaper Home Batteries Program, which is set to begin on July 1, 2025, the cost of installation a typical 11.5kWh battery could drop by around $4000.00 (or 30%), making energy storage more accessible.
This initiative is part of a broader push to reduce power bills and encourage renewable energy use across the country.
- Note: This plan will proceed only if Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is re-elected in the upcoming federal election.
